Our son Darren is still an ICE agent for the feds (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)

His oldest is 25, working in the medical field, and has not found a man that measures up to her Dad!
His second oldest is married and going to school along with her husband. She will graduate in two more semesters, I think, and will teach little ones.
His other middle child is completing her first year in college.
Cole, his youngest, graduates in the spring and Darren will find out the meaning of “empty nester”.

Our daughter Melissa is back from Minnesota.

Of course she is enjoying balmy weather there!! She sent a picture of her thermometer about ten days ago and it said MINUS 36 degrees!

Her husband is a dentist who just opened a new business… bad for me because it is only ¼ mile from a Cabela’s brand spanking new BIG store, nine miles north of Denver. Going to be good time going there for a visit!

A Note From Connie: 12/22/16

I have twenty-five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and I'm still in Sweet Home Oregon. My husband Leonard passed away January 29, 2015 of cancer. I'm a missionary for the LDS church and love every minute of it. I'm very active doing gardening, scrap-booking, reading, and writing my journals that I've done for many years. I've attended some writing classes here in Sweet Home at the college and I also love the outdoors. My daughter Sandi lived in St Helens, Oregon and is still working for Safeway. My daughter Cheri is a director of a mental health school and loves her job working with Children that need special help. Randy and Garen live with me and help me with many things that I can't do for myself.

Garen builds furniture and beautiful cabinets. I'm doing very well and very healthy at this time. I have taken in an 87 year-old elderly woman that was abused and I'm caring for her, which takes a lot of my time also. I'm still just a very busy person and loving my life, but I do miss my sweetheart very much, After his death I've had to learn the computer and all of this new technology that we have to learn today to get along in this world we now live in. He did most of this for me, but gave me a crash course just before he got too sick, and I've learned the rest with trial and error. Thanks for doing such a good job with the news-letters. I love reading them.

Sandi's daughter had twins boys last year and they both weighed one pound each, and it's been a struggle for her as she still feeds them through a tube to the stomach, and one still has a trac to breath, but we are blessed that they have lived fourteen months and now weigh about twenty pounds. The Lord has been good to us. My great-grandchildren just keep coming... I've had three just in the past few months.

Mr. Wilcox caused me to never use the "Bell Curve Grade Distribution" in any one of my classes that I taught. But when I decided to go to college after working a year, it was Mr. Wilcox that put all the paper work together to get me into Cal Poly.
